Challenge

BBQ is a beloved American tradition, and the Kingsford name was synonymous with quality BBQ experiences. Carl Buddig & Company licensed the brand to create a line of pre cooked BBQ meats and were looking for the optimal way to convey that this was BBQ made for every occasion.

Action Taken

DuPuis partnered with Carl Buddig & Company to develop the packaging design and launch materials for Kingsford BBQ meats. Leveraging the strength of the Kingsford brand, we created a design system that communicated quality, convenience, and ease of use, making BBQ more accessible for everyday occasions.

We also developed proprietary structures designed to improve convenience, support cooking, and stand out at shelf. Hero product photography brought appetite appeal and usage inspiration to life, while ongoing support has included sales materials, shippers, photography, and social media assets to help drive brand growth.

Results

As the Kingsford BBQ meats portfolio grows, we have continued to develop the design for new assets to maintain the brand’s look/feel and evolved it to fit new product formats.
